Comedy Concert Queen Aiai Delas Alas continues her journey as a proud Kapuso with the renewal of her exclusive contract with GMA Network last October 29.
“I’m so blessed and excited. Thank you sa GMA dahil makaka-trabaho ko na naman ang ating Kapuso stars. Magso-soap pa rin ako, Sunday Pinasaya, The Clash, and many more. I’m so happy and very much a Kapuso at heart,” she said.
Present during the contract signing were GMA Network Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Atty. Felipe L. Gozon; Senior Vice President for Entertainment Group Lilybeth G. Rasonable; Vice President for Business Development Department III Darling de Jesus-Bodegon; Senior Program Managers Charles Koo and Ruth Mariñas; and Asian Artists Agency Chief Operating Officer Rowena Salido.
Known for her comedic antics and quick wits, the Kapuso star has also proven her flair as a remarkable host, an all-out performer, and an award-winning actress. She is one of the original mainstays of the country’s Sunday noontime habit, Sunday PinaSaya, and is currently a Panellist in GMA’s original musical competition, The Clash.
“I see to it na pinag-aaralan ko at sinusuri kong mabuti ang Clashers natin. Ngayon may Top 16 na tayo. Kahit kami ay nae-excite sa The Clash dahil mismong pag show na, doon namin nalalaman ang mga twist kaya ‘yung mga reaction namin napaka-raw at totoo. So abangan nila dahil napakarami pang surprises at pasabog sa show,” she shared.
During the contract signing, Atty. Gozon praised Aiai for her versatility as an artist, “Dito siya nag-umpisa, dito siya sumikat at hanggang ngayon ay sumisikat pa. Kahit saan magpunta si Aiai, she is an asset dahil siya ay very versatile. Kahit saang proyekto ilagay ay kayang-kaya niya. Natutuwa tayo na hanggang ngayon ay nagsasama pa rin tayo.”
Rasonable echoed Atty. Gozon’s sentiments, “Kilala natin siya sa comedy. Kilala natin siya na nakakapag-host, nakakapag-perform on stage, tapos ngayon award-winning actress sa movies, sa drama magagamit mo rin siya. Tama si Atty. Gozon, kahit saan mo siya dalhin na genre kaya niya. She would excel.”
